Christina Clark , licensed wildlife rehabilitator and owner of the
Squirrel Store, works saving orphaned animals and reintroducing them back
to the wild. She is located in Somers, CT (near Springfield, MA)
and would be glad to answer your questions about what to do if you
encounter an abandoned or injured animal. Call her at (860) 749- 1129
or (877) 717-7748 or go to her website
(You can order wildlife rehab supplies as well as milk replacers online from her.)
Donations: Some non-monetary items Christina can always use include:
paper towels, infant receiving blankets, flannel, fleece material,
polar fleece material, fresh ear corn, walnuts and almonds
(shelled and unshelled), apples, cauliflower, broccoli, sweet potatoes,
mushrooms (store bought).
If anyone breeds goats, colostrum is desparately needed
(it can be frozen) and is used for the fawns.
Also, aquariums, mostly on the small side with the lids are useful.
